The project at a glance
For our loyal partner Careyn, Xuntos has developed a new Umbraco website for the CareynPlus service. CareynPlus offers older people a helping hand. Support to be able to live independently at home for as long as possible. With a CareynPlus membership, you can make use of all kinds of extra services that help you stay independent, healthy and fit. Think of a gardener, handyman, or an optician or hearing care professional who visits home.

CareynPlus' question
The old website was enormously content and theme driven. Careyn noticed that users were unable to find their way around. That's why they asked us to develop a new user-friendly website with a fresh design in 2024, and the site also needed a technical update due to aging.
The CareynPlus web editors were really looking for guidance to create a website that was easy for their target group to understand.
Working together on a clear and accessible website for older people
Research & Concept
To validate the new navigation structure, our partner Online Department conducted a Tree Test. With this, we tested whether users can intuitively find the right information within the structure, without visual assistance. The insights from this test provided input for the further optimization of navigation. To complete this phase, we designed two concept directions for the homepage, translating the existing corporate identity into a modern, fresh look.
Design & Validation
Together with Careyn, the designs have been further refined and expanded. The interaction and visual design was developed into a clickable prototype, with which we tested and refined the most important user flows based on feedback from the user test.
Build & Launch
We determined the scope of the unique pages and flows and developed them based on modular components, so that Careyn can easily assemble pages herself in the future. Together with the CRM supplier, we determined the approach for streamlining the data so that the data is then presented in the right places in the My Environment. And customers can join easily.
Support & Further Development
After going live, Xuntos supports Careyn with maintenance and management. The editors have maximum freedom to maintain the website. Together with the product owner, we are continuing to develop the site step by step.
Different ways of navigating
From the study, we found that users use different ways of navigating. And from a different perspective, such as requesting something for yourself or as an informal carer for someone else.

We combined these with themes and prominent search.
On the homepage, you can go directly to popular themes via clear tiles.
A user-friendly and secure website
After the research and design phase, Xuntos converted the templates into web-accessible HTML and integrated them into Umbraco CMS 13. The challenge was to make management easy and secure, with the ability for customers to log in or become members. In addition, the site exchanges data with SaaS supplier Korèn, with attention to safety, reliability and performance.

The result
The end result is a modern, user-friendly website with a secure member portal. Customers can easily manage their data in the personal environment, while CareynPlus can continuously expand and improve this component.
