Faber group websites

The Faber Group provides pallet pooling services and products. In 1891, the Halbertsma family started producing wooden barrels, gradually moving to producing wooden pallets. Meanwhile, in 1935, a similar company was founded in Assen by the Faber family.

the challenge

The question from Faber Group

The Faber Group wanted a modern, accessible career website that reflects the international character of the organization.
Most important wishes were:

  • a user-friendly CMS for marketing teams in multiple countries;
  • automatic job synchronisation with the external Rexx system;
  • a technical base that grows with new languages and subsidiaries.
Our Approach

Collaboration with partners

Close cooperation between all parties: Faber Group, WeAreSomeone, IPP Pooling, PAKi Logistics and Rexx.

Kick off & Workshop

During the kick-off and interactive workshop with various stakeholders, we identified the wishes, goals and challenges. These principles formed the basis for the design.

Design

WeAreSomeone's designs have been translated into a scalable front-end with modular content blocks. The site is organized around Faber's core values and employer brand: sustainable, involved and international.

Build & Launch

Built in Umbraco on the latest .NET framework. Used Hangfire to periodically update vacancy data. Multi-language setup with easy translation and management options for editors.

Support & Further Development

Faber can have minor technical adjustments resolved directly via our support team. Content that is managed by the editors of the various sites. We regularly work on short iterations (sprints) to continue developing the website.

Api integration

Link with Rexx for vacancies

An important part of the platform is the integration with the external recruitment system Rexx.

  • Vacancies are automatically retrieved every hour via the Hangfire tool, so that the site always shows current positions.
  • New or closed vacancies are processed automatically, without the editors having to intervene manually.
  • The process saves the recruitment team a lot of time and ensures a consistent, error-free display of vacancies in four (soon six) languages.

Umbraco as a content management system

The website has been fully customized in the Umbraco CMS. The site is currently hosted by us in Umbraco Cloud.

Xuntos has experience with many different Content Management Systems, but has been fully specialized in the open source CMS Umbraco for a number of years. We think Umbraco is an incredibly user-friendly and flexible CMS.
